Today we learned about the different projects that were part of FDR's New Deal to get the U.S. out of the Great Depression. We did seven different stations. If you missed class, go to "Documents" and complete the work for three stations to make up the classwork.

EXTRA CREDIT!!!

At the BYU Museum of Art, MOA, there is an exhibition on War Propaganda. To receive extra credit, you must GO to the museum (it is free) look around at the exhibit and write a paragraph about it.

Your paragraph must include:
1. your favorite poster/cartoon
2. What you learned about propaganda
3. how you think propaganda influences a war

Great Depression Photo Assignment

Here are the requirements for the assignment, Due February 25th. FRIDAY

1. Must depict an aspect of the Great Depression. It must shoe THE AVERAGE American, not President Hoover, etc.

2. It must be an original photo. You cannot photoshop a photo someone took back in the 1930s, it needs to be a photo YOU took or a photo take of YOU.

3 You may work in groups, but everyone must be involved by being in or taking the photo.

4. if you do not have access to a camera, let me know and we can figure something out.

5. You must bring the PRINTED photo to class on the 25th.

Questions, talk to me sometime before/after school or during lunch.

Today we went around the 1920s Museum in the Library. We also wrote a short paragraph on how we feel the project went.

If you were absent today, please come in and get a worksheet to tour the Museum. I will leave the displays up until Wednesday Afternoon. In order to receive points for viewing the museum, you must see it before then.

Today we began our 1920's Project. We discussed what is required and broke up into our groups. There is a link under assignments that outlines what is required and when things are due.

THIS WILL BE YOUR ASSESSMENT FOR THIS UNIT! Please make sure you put a lot of effort into this and help your group.

***Remember, if you are in a group of 4, you need to have either 2 interactive elements or 2 objects. EVERYONE must participate!!

IF YOU ARE FAILING

It is probably because of 3 things:

1. You haven't turned in the Imperialism Notes. See the post on Imperialism or come see me for the notes.
2. You haven't turned in your folder. You may still do so, but points will be taken off for being late. Today was the last day of mercy.
3. You failed the test. Please come in to Intervention this week to do Test Corrections! If you failed the test, you are REQUIRED to do so.


Also, if you haven't turned in your disclosure document, YOU MUST DO SO or you cannot watch any more movies in the class. You will be asked to step out and you will lose points.
