Today we began our World War I Unit. We took notes using the WWI Beginnings worksheet (under assignments) with the power point entitled "WWI Beginnings".

Today we talked about Imperialism and the Spanish-American War. We used a Power Point to fill out the worksheet and wrote a paragraph about what country we would annex if we could (instructions are on the power point titled "Imperialism and the Spanish-American War.")

Today we looked at the different reforms that were done during the Progressive Age. We went through 8 stations and did activities at each station.

January 12th

Today we talked about Segregation and Discrimination during the Gilded Age and the turn of the century.

We used a power point to take notes on a worksheet, that can be found under assignments. It is called "Segregation and Discrimination."

We also watched "A Class Divided" and answered questions, also found on the worksheet.

January 10th

Today we introduced the Gilded Age. Students completed a collage that represented one of the leisure activities that became popular during this age.

There is a power point along with the lecture.

Today we looked at everyone's immigration projects. We turned in folders for this unit (paper bag book, My Immigration Story, and the immigration project survey) 2nd period took a test.
